Tango Bien hots up..


Just as well, tonight was a wet, cold, miserable reminder that winter is not finished with us just yet! We kept the frost at bay with warm company and hot moves on the dance floor.
All Tango Bien's hard behind the scenes work is beginning to pay off. In the near future, we'll be announcing some special events, so keep checking in....

Images of Buenos Aires


This week, we danced in Buenos Aires. Well, almost. Amongst projections of streets, milongas, cafes, travel photos of Buenos Aires, anyway.

First August Milonga


Kensington is very close to the city, really. Five minutes from Spencer Street in fact, but it's not a suburb that tangueros are familiar with. This week, armed with a map, a compass, emergency mobile numbers, passport, and emergency rations, tangueros bravely trekked westward-ho and found us.
The ballet school dancers came back for more, too....

Our Second Night


Door prizes, new people, even more fun.
A gaggle of young dancers from the ballet school came in search of some missing ballet slippers and, mesmerised, stayed for an hour. While mother waited patiently in the car, Tango Bien tangueros gently guided the girls through their first experience of tango, and no doubt into the beginnings of a long love affair with the dance....

Intrepid tangueros braved the bitterly cold Melbourne winter night to make this just the sort of warm, friendly, delightful first night we'd hoped for!
